God’s Word says to “Train up the child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We believe this to
be true so therefore we provide biblical teachings for the
children, not entertainment wherein they might be taught. This
Scriptural reference was given by God to parents, believing that
it is actually the parents' job to train the child up, we do all we
can not to hinder that process.
We have Children’s Church every week following Praise and
Worship for the remainder of the service.
Too many times a child is brought up in Children’s Church and
attends the Regular service when they are being disciplined
ONLY. After a short while it is understood that the Regular
service is a bad thing for bad children, and once the child
becomes an adult that misconception remains. The young adult
is too old for Children’s’ church and sees the regular service still
as ‘discipline.’ They leave church completely only to return at
the age of 30 or so with a life time of hurts and problems.
Our strong passion for children and the children's ministry has
grown from one of the best places possible: experience. I was
entertained in church for years as a child which didn't do me,
nor anyone else, any good. As I grew in the youth program
provided by whatever church we attended at the time I never
was truly taught about sin, forgiveness of sin, the love of Christ
or even the basics of Christianity such as tithing.
God holds parents accountable for the teaching, or lack there,
of their children, and God holds me as the pastor of this church
directly accountable to Him for EVERY member of this
fellowship, young and old. I want what's best for each of us, an
age appropriate teaching of the Word of God that can be easily
applied to our lives.
