You are visitor #:
"No weapon formed against us shall prosper." Now that seems a
bit odd doesn't it? I mean, haven't we all, at one time or another,
gone through what would seem to be one of the worst times in
our life? My wife and I were talking the other day. "This is the
poorest I have ever been in my entire adult life, even when I was
a single Mom I had more than we do now," my wife said.

So how is it then, ‘that no weapon formed against us is shall
prosper?’ It is my belief, and from my understanding of God
through the scriptures that we (those who have accepted Jesus
Christ as their personal Lord & Savior) have power & authority
in our lives. It is to be a way of life for all of us. Now I'm not
saying that we are to be trouble free. I'm saying that there is
more here than what meets the eye. Much more. We are called
to read the Holy Scriptures and learn from them. "Teach me
Your ways Lord, teach me Your ways, and teach me Your ways
Lord that I may teach others." That's a song I once sang at
church during a sermon. This song I sang to God for years, a
desire of my heart. I believe this song is fulfillment of personal
prophecy spoken over me by many people. To me this means
that I teach the word of God in a way all can understand.

Here I are folks (not a typo!), no one special. Just a man wanting
the life I was predestined to live. So why all the trouble? Well,
that's two fold. First I have drawn a line in the sand, saying how I
will live and handle life's situations. Second, I have yet to access
all that the scriptures say that are mine. Have you ever heard
the song "There is Power, Power, Wonder Working Power, in
the Blood of the Lamb?" If there is Power in the blood, which
there is. Where then does that power come from? Jesus Christ
the son of God. The power was God and still is God. It is wonder
working power, yesterday, today & tomorrow.

The power is first experienced when one accepts Jesus Christ
into their hearts as Lord and Savior. But it doesn't stop there.
There is more power, and even more opportunities to receive it.
No weapon formed against you will prevail, but it can and will
take all the fun out of winning if you allow it to.

"If I allow it to, Pastor Mike, are you saying that I have control
over the power?" You bet you do, we are called to more than
just to come to church when the doors are open. Are we to pray
to God about our "wish list" and claim that every bad thing that
happens to us is due to Satan's attack on our lives? No, that's
just as wrong as the non-Christians who believe that every bad
thing that happens is God's will.

Folks listen to me, God's desire is not for you to be going
through hell on earth everyday that you live. He sometimes
disciplines us because He loves us, and He provides for us
because He loves us. Now I'm not saying that I know what God is
showing you this morning; His discipline or His love. But I am
saying that the word of God is very clear on several matters of
living, and because He cannot deny Himself. God must withhold
blessings from us at times until we get it right.

The neat thing is that God is the same yesterday, today and
tomorrow. When He forgives our sins they are gone forever. If
you fall, and then return to Him with a humble heart, He will
forgive you not remembering how many times this has
happened. Forgive and forget; you can't beat that. "But God",
(which is one of the shortest verses in the bible), cannot deny
Himself. He forgives then forgets. There are times He must hold
back some blessings for those who truly are faithful.

Saints, be faithful not only in attending church services, not only
in reading the word of God and praying daily. Not only in sharing
the gift of eternal life that you have been given, not only in
serving God and others. But be faithful in the little things. We
have access to much more power than we now have. Be
obedient to God's word so that you may have more power over
the weapons that are formed against you.

In His Service, Pastor Mike

I wanted to share a bit of my heart with you. "A Glimpse of Pat's
Heart." Then I was told no one knows who you are. Let's just let
it read 'The Pastor's Wife's Heart'. Have you ever felt like that?
Well my dear ones, God knows who I am and God knows you
too. Isn't that wonderful! No matter what bad things are
happening around us or to us there is an awesome God who
created us and knows us. This last month I have cried, laughed,
prayed and sang to my heavenly Father. I believe that I have
grown so much this month because of my trials. Then when I
feel overwhelmed I feel like a little child being comforted by God
in a way that only He can comfort.

I hope that you will dig in God's word, come and fellowship with
us, and worship the King of Kings. Soon you will see what I see.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made!

I had the pleasure of getting to know some wonderful ladies this
past Tuesday in our first ladies bible study. Some ladies have
never attended a ladies bible study.

Let me tell you that it is important to come together and grow as
Godly women. Let's look at Ruth and Naomi. What a wonderful
example they left for us! Serving Him,

Pat McDaniel
